DESCRIPTION:The Artful Life and Work of Ruth Anderson\nArtist’s Reception – Sunday\, March 8. Come and go 2-4 pm.\nCreative Arts Center – 200 W 5th in Bonham. \nEveryday items\, repurposed…discarded tidbits of metal and plastic found along street curbs and in parking lots…myriads of buttons\, fabric pieces\, clothespins…and nature’s bounty of nuts\, seed pods\, and spent blooms: these are the components that in the hand of 96-year-old artist Ruth Anderson\, become “potential” for her whimsical artworks which beckon a second and their look from the viewer. \nWe are pleased to present a retrospective collection of Ruth Anderson’s artwork which includes quilts\, baskets\, origami jewelry\, mixed media constructions and more. Come meet the artist on Sunday\, March 8 at the opening of the exhibit\, from 2-4 pm. The collection will remain on display until the end of March. \nPlease join us in this celebration of an artful life!
