SUMMARY:Creative Reuse Sale
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce that we will be having a Creative Reuse Sale at the Creative Arts Center! \nCreative Reuse Stores are popping up all over our state and country.  These are thrift stores that specialize in arts and crafts supplies.  These stores help keep these supplies out of the landfills and are a great source of lower cost supplies for artists. While we do not have the space or staff to manage a Creative Reuse Store\, we are excited to devote one week to having a sale in late September 2025. \nWe will have two drop off days\, where folks can bring their gently used arts and crafts supplies to donate to our center.  Then we will have three days of sales.  Our sale will be open to the public.  This event will help folks in our community clean out and declutter their stash of art supplies they no longer need and provide an alternative to throwing them in the landfill.  This event will also help local creatives get low cost art supplies while raising needed funds for our art center. Sounds like a win-win-win situation to us. \nDrop off times: \n\nTuesday\, Sept 23  from 10 am to 5:30 pm\nWednesday\, Sept 24 from 10 am to 5:30 pm\nPlease note\, we strongly prefer that donations be dropped off at these times only.  However\, if you really\, really\, really cannot do one of these days\, please contact Jaye or Sandy at (903) 640-2196 to arrange an alternative time. DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Bonham Creative Arts Center for a monthly celebration of poetry in all its forms. Whether you write your own verses\, love to share favorite poems\, or simply enjoy listening to the power of words\, you’ve found your community! \nEach month\, we’ll explore a different theme and poetic form\, creating a relaxed space where poetry becomes accessible and alive. Share in any or all of our three rounds: \nRound 1: Theme-based poems. You choose what the theme of the month means to you. \nRound 2: Explorations of form. Share poems that fit the Literary Form of the Month. To find poems to share\, simply ask your favorite web browser or AI assistant “Please help me find poems that feature [this month’s technique].” \nRound 3: Open choice finale.  If you want to share a winter poem in July\, go for it! Love reading “The Raven” out loud? Do it! (Time limit is two minutes\, so choose your favorite stanzas.) \nNo experience needed – just bring your love of language. We even have poems on hand if you’d like to join in but haven’t brought your own. \nThis adult (18+) group embraces poetry’s full range\, from playful to profound.
