Bonham Economic Development Corporation (BEDCO) is a Type B economic development corporation (EDC) chartered by the Texas Development Corporation Act of 1997. Under this Act, Bonham voters dedicated a one-half per cent sales tax to BEDCO for the economic development of the city of Bonham. With this, BEDCO is investing in infrastructure projects in preparation for our fast-growing city, such as water and wastewater lines, and improvements and support facilities for the Jones Field Airport. In addition, we are making strategic investments in commercial and industrial development to expand job opportunities. BEDCO also has a commitment to downtown Bonham and has established a program to assist downtown business owners in improving their properties by offering 50% matching grants.
BEDCO has a seven-member Board of Directors which meets the third Monday of each month at 5:30 P.M. at the Bonham City Hall.
