  • Sam Rayburn House Museum

  • Sam Rayburn Library Museum

    The Sam Rayburn Museum documents the life and career of Samuel Taliaferro Rayburn (1882–1961). Rayburn’s tenure as a Congressman, from 1913 to 1961, spanned 48 years, nearly 25 terms, and 8 presidents. He remains the longest-serving House Speaker in American history.

  • Fort Inglish Museum

    The Village consists of the Stockade, which has a broom-making factory, water well, outhouse, carriage house, corn shelling and grinding area, as well as clothes washing area.

  • Fannin County Museum of History

    Visit the Museum, located in the historic Texas and Pacific Railway Depot, to see a wide array of displays about the history of Fannin County, from pioneer days to World War I and World War II.

  • Bonham Public Library

    Established in 1901 by the Current Literature Club as an outgrowth circulating library. There was no community support in these early days, and monies were raised mainly by benefit entertainment and by membership tickets, which were $1 a year.

Lakes, Parks and National Grasslands

  • Bois d'Arc Lake

    Bois d’Arc Lake is the first new major reservoir in Texas in nearly 30 years. The 16,641-acre lake is located northeast of the city of Bonham in Fannin County and began to impound (hold) water on April 14, 2021.

  • Bonham State Park

    Northeast of Dallas is a small park filled with natural beauty. At Bonham State Park, you’ll find a serene 65-acre lake, hilly trails, colorful history and a quiet place to relax.

  • Caddo National Grasslands

    The Caddo National Grasslands WMA is administered by the US Forest Service and is managed under a cooperative agreement with Texas Parks and Wildlife.

  • Lake Bonham

    Fish habitat structures have been placed around the fishing T-pier located near the ramp at the Bonham City Lake Recreation Area.
